I know this is probably been done before across of variety of posts, but I would like to compile a top 10 wish list for J1.1 Taycan owners to send to Porsche. Please list 1 thing that you most want to see Porsche deliver via software update. If your item is already listed, then simply give it a thumbs up for an informal vote.

My one item - Dog/Pet Mode.

> Update - I appreciate everyone who delivered positive feedback. The list is coming together. Will report back the final tally.

Active Lane Keep without requiring ACC on. This is offered in a 2026 Hyundai Sonata.

I’d like an update for navigation as well. I’d like to plan my router usage better by whitelisting charging providers and blacklisting others. For instance, I’d prefer to use only Fastned and Ionity. Did J1.2 have features for this?

(mainly to benefit the US market): allow the enabling of full LED Matrix functionality

I'd like to see a software update that reconfigures the center console to something I can actually access without tying myself into a knot.

How about manually operated air vents? Every single review I’ve watched mentioned this so sooo annoyingly unnecessary. Porsche stubbornly refuses to listen. They could leave the software and just alter the vents themselves. Any ideas for retro fit?

Sorry I know it’s not a software update. Didn’t fully read the original post…

Remember radio was on (when Carplay exists)

Remember reverse camera settings (e.g. fisheye) - I click that like 99% of the times

And for those of us who use it as a daily to pick up the kids - back port this feature from the VW ID3/4 - you basically never have to touch the nav in most cases: show last destinations, then guess/autopick where you're going - low cost magic really 🙂

When SatNav crashes reassign last destination after booting. It somehow reduces stress level when constantly crashing.
They would have to actually release a software fix - which could fix the actual problem, too.

But wait, they only do that when the battery might catch fire, an entire continent of satnavs resetting does not meet that criteria..

We could always get a robot to do this for us in the mean while

I would like them to deliver software updates. Since they haven't since 2023.

Mandatory enforced recalls are not updates. It's just them complying with the law after fucking up.

Also, software updates implies an older software being updated on otherwise unchanged hardware. Releasing a new car / facelifted car with newer software is also not a "software update" - unless porsche pays for that new car.
