My suspicion is still comms. I think we have all been there with our phones. You see a signal (a couple of bars) but your browser still hangs. My feeling is that this is made worse by the "internet of things", which is like roaming on your phone. When you use your phone at home, your phone always hooks up to one network. When you are roaming, it grabs any old network and some just don't love you. When you watch the Taycan, it hops from network to network and some will just be poorer than others. That said, I know not of any functionality where you could program preferred network providers.
PS: Could be a brain-dead implementation of live traffic data. Might be worth turning that off to see whether that improves matters.
