It does not heat up the battery when stationary/it does not heat up the battery more than normal driving at "high load/performance/speed". Just switching it on and not driving faster/harder won't heat up the battery much more, and will waste energy and reduce your range even more.Thank Mr O - I must give this a proper try - I tried it a while back and did not see much temperature increase - . but will deffo try it again, maybe I need to give it longer to react...
Thanks - I did not think that selecting Sport-plus when stationary would heat anything up - that would be silly..It does not heat up the battery when stationary/it does not heat up the battery more than normal driving at "high load/performance/speed". It tries to maintain the battery at optimal performance temperature (35 celsius) and offers maximum output of power - which heats up the battery when driving - it may or may not heat up slightly faster, likely not, unless you actually drive faster / do sudden accelerations bursts.
It's more useful in summer, when the battery can overheat while charging/driving - as it pretty much locks the cooling on max if you are over 35Celsius.
So it is not a "precondition" button replacement per-say, definitely not in winter.
Totally agree! i think its quite clear to everyone having the issues that it's software related. Maybe its time to have some serious conversations with sales about an Electric CayenneMy nav unit already has been replaced last year, didn't prevent the current issues so I doubt it will do anything for you @Matt-Taycan
