Just wanted to chime in here.. This thing has been broken since November. I live in Australia so the remote climate control in summer is a must. I was getting nowhere with Porsche about this, so I was ready to give up. Today, its working again....wtf....

I work in software dev so I have seen some bad sh!t, but the way Porsche manage their infra and sdlc is an absolute joke...

This is a joke and happens a lot with Porsche back end systems not working without any notice to the owners that this and that service is down and we will let you know when it is back up.

This is a new service (Pre-Climate) that breaks down. Mine has been working with only a brief period of being down in the last few months.

The usual service that is keeps breaking is the Map service where there is on real time traffic and you cannot send destinations to the car. I spent many hours on the phone for them to admit, this has not been working, which is typically a few weeks.

Got this last year.
AC didn't work well, heating still available.
It was a pressure sensor in the AC system.

Untill last monday the app and climate functionalities worked great. Since then, the app can’t connect to the Taycan anymore. Raised a ticket with Porsche connect and they are checking the central server environment. Happened to me last January, just shortly after delivery. Also planning a visit to the dealership if the problem isn’t solved by coming Friday.

Got a call from support. They said engineering team pushed out a potential fix and they asked me to test it again. Still not working for me. Anybody else notice any improvement?

I received an email today notifying me of the potential resolution but the malfunction persists.

received an update from the Porsche Connect technical supportteam this morning. The need more time because of the ‘high complexity’ of the problem. :angry:

Will visit the service centre tomorrow, hopefully they can run some diagnostics to find the problem.

After 3 months of no connectivity (LTE in car was down), and getting it fixed a week ago, I’ve just seen I have the same issue. Car going back next week as they sent the car back broken (ffs) after an MOT, assorted recalls and investigation of regen braking issue. So whether they screwed some software up doing software recalls, who knows.

Will be putting it on the list of things to look at, but still haven’t been told what they’d done to fix the brake issue let alone which recalls they’d done.

Getting quite bored with it now.

Does anyone have a screen shot of a working 2 zone app please?

Visited the Porsche service center this morning. They ran diagnostics, and as expected, no issues were found. They also did a reset of the COM module, but it didn’t make any difference. Although they couldn’t find anything, it’s becoming more obvious that the issue is on the Porsche central server side.

Fingers crossed that they solve the server or Porsche Connect issue soon.

Mine has been down for maybe 2 weeks but started working again tonight. My app used to not show the toggle icons next to the seats but tonight they were back and I was able to start remote climate control. Might be worth rechecking.

Mine started working sometime this afternoon also. I finally got a response from Porsche support at 4pm (UTC-5) today and I checked it then, but it was still broken. Sometime between then and now the fix landed. The app version is unchanged (14.25.05-pcna+108990), so the fix was something server-side.

Started working this morning. I also downloaded a new software update last night. Think this was more of a coincidence.

Mine started working yesterday as well, without me doing anything. Such is the reliability of Porsche software. Now, if we could get them to stop screwing with it - it works again, leave it alone!
