Option regrets ?

I’ve had my 23 GTS for 20 months now and i absolutely love it BUT I never in a million years thought I’d miss ventilated cooled seats, I regret not checking that box. Anyone have any option regrets? Something they wish they didn’t spend $ on or vice versa ?

Not optioning surround view, a big mistake to only have a very poor quality reverse camera in a car of this size and value.

I check _ALL_ the boxes that I want - it's too expensive to do over and if you're not willing to pay Porsche their option tax they may not be the brand for you - no one buys a Porsche to save money - I'm always confused by people that save $327 on a $180k vehicle, but then again they won't be bankrupt and I will…so I guess in the end they are right.

I also ticked the boxes I wanted without compromise. Also, there are compromises always! I made a separate thread on it ages ago - eg I optioned Remote Park, not for the remote park itself, but the extras like traffic cross alerts. However I miss the curb view - which you lose if you choose Remote Park - which is a real shame.
another example - I love the VLC roof, but it has a cloudy/milky effect when in transparent, which is another shame.

Sometimes checking too many boxes @daveo4EV is not a good thing since we know that checking something may remove something. I am regretting but not very strongly choosing the Porsche Clock since you cannot see the hands at night. The standard Chrono with the Dark Silver Accent that is lit would have been there otherwise. My thought process was that this is a value upgrade to have a wrist like watch on the dash for much less than a wrist watch, but this is exactly what it is, wrist watch with light charge glow hands that do not seem to glow ever.

Also, I am glad I did not go for the VLC roof, since it does not darken like other things (glasses, mirror, etc.), as @bn8959 said, it just turns milky white, and then when I saw it in person, it did not block much of the sun, so removable shade has been perfect. The car that I looked at had the VLC roof malfunction with one of the panels not working, so the owner had to wait for the replacement.

When I ordered my car, I was in my late 40‘s and had already decided to retire. About a year later, I got bored and took another job….that is an hour away from my house. If I was ordering my car now, with my current commute, I likely would have selected Innodrive, despite its shortcomings.

My only regrets were not getting and those were burmiester, massage seats, and middle rear seat. I will say I am very thankful I didn’t get heads up display and remote park. Have it in my current loaner and hate it.

when in doubt check the box - it's why I have innodrive and don't use it...ROFL - - but my goal is personal bankruptcy to avoid inheritance tax - my kids don't like this plan.

I am still not sure that I want Innodrive….I didnt check the box for a reason. I very much dislike driving aids. I am not worried though, if the drive gets to be a PIA, I still have several options…..LOL ?

I prefer to have it and not use it - vs not having it and wanting to use it - you can turn off innodrive - but I sometimes turn it back on in particular circumstances - it also "pulls" all the right sensors so the vehicle has maximum capabilities for other features which I do like…but I get your point.

innodrive is not a deal breaker for me - and Porsche makes it very easy to disable it.

I regret that the prior owner of my 2022 4CT did not spec the massage seat.
Plus the prior owner did of course spec all sorts of cosmetic options. Including the ORD package.
Otherwise, no regrets!

I have the massage seats and I would say that they are decent but not as good as most ICE car massage seats so you may not be missing a ton with this one.

Regrets for me are two options I didn’t choose myself.

1. Noise/heat treated glass. Sucks. Blocks toll tags and radar detectors. Does not make an appreciable difference.

2. The Porsche charger connect. Do not over invest in this. It’s shitty.

Whew, FOMO is now mitigated!
The massage feature on my A6ar is quite impressive. But the 14-way Taycan seat is still better overall even sans massage.
