And yet, when others drive it like a normal car, they don't know the difference. Perfect.
That's the highest form of flattery ;)

So I finally got to test my J1.1 Turbo with the MapEV ASG and there's a lot of good news and significant bad news.

Starting with the bad, absolutely nothing wrong with the tune, but my old Draggy died immediately after I finished a single run. The light went off and I lost connection to it on my phone. At first I thought it was my phone so I reset my bluetooth, rebooted, reinstalled the app, etc. Only to realize the Draggy module itself died, won't even charge. So I'll be ordering something else very soon as I plan on hitting the track very soon.
The other bad news, I need new rear tires. I knew this after getting my 12v battery replaced, as I have enough tread to drive. But they won't hook when I launch. Still that lead to some good news:

On my single run, on a back road not far from my house of not very healthy asphalt I got a 0-60 run of 2.57s with tires chirping. It showed as Verified, and then while slowing down, I lost connection and thats when the problems began with the draggy. So I wasn't able to screenshot it.

Will order another test module soon and try to get some more numbers, but I am happy that the seat of the pants feel matches the numbers!

And do you feel a difference in normal driving, when you want to take over a car at a speed from 50-100?

Purely anecdotal but yes, the acceleration now feels very linear at speeds past 50 mph.

I also meant to add that the motors make a very nice growl when I mat the throttle. Maybe that was present before but don't think so 😎

I believe someone put it best a couple posts up, but it feels a bit unreal how much more powerful it is while moving. It feels like an entirely different car when you step on it while moving. Up until about 70%+ throttle, it feels OEM, with much better throttle response. But once you get the pedal close to the floor, its literally like Clark Kent ripping his shirt open to reveal the S. It pulls so much harder in such a visceral manner that its scary.

So visceral. I find myself needing to really mentally prepare before I push the whoosh pedal, things happen at a pace that my brain has not experienced previously.

Would like to try bracket racing, could you setup the tune so I could dial in the level of power I want to run. Something like 90% of max power, but i would like to be able to input that value myself depending on desired time and track conditions.

Another happy Mapev customer here. 2025 S e-tron GT without tune 10.87 at 128.40 mph quarter mile.

With tune, [email protected] mph. These times were on an asphalt stretch of road.

At the drag strip, [email protected] mph. Car is stock other than the tune.
Man that is an awesome time and massive improvement. Any tire spin or is it hooking strong on launch ?

Good point, didn't think about how to enter the parameter.

It hooks perfect. Foot on the brake, then accelerator to the floor. I'm amazed how well launch control works. Stock 20 inch wheels and tires at 42 psi. I don't think drag radials would hook any better. You can't do a proper burnout to get any heat into the tires.

Anyway, I got exactly what I wanted with the tune which is a sub 10 second quarter mile.

What level of regen are you running on your Turbo S Dmitri?
I always used Auto. I don't have my Turbo S anymore though, waiting for the J1.2 to arrive.

Congrats on the J1.2! What trim?

So stock level of regen? I know you experimented with higher levels, was just curious what you settled on.

This is the spec:

I never used the regen, only the "Auto" one, which has quite high level of regen when there is something in front of you. Otherwise I prefer to use the brakes to slow the car.

My preference is irrelevant though, I do whatever people ask for, it's just the Taycan was built to be used with the brakes first and foremost, and the accelerator is quite stiff. I think with a softer spring in the accelerator a more OPD style experience could be viable as well.
