I am surprised no one mentioned the ability to pre-cool/heat it before you get in. For example before leaving a restaurant or something I would pre-cool and so it’s nice and cool instead of being 140F when getting in.

Here it costs me an equivalent $420 usd, per year. Maybe if I drove more to new, exciting places and charged on the road often, it would be worth it. But my driving life is mostly boring… Just taxi my kids back and forth to school, volleyball, tennis, and to grandma’s… often in traffic. Work at home, charge at home.

This, my friend, still works! If they would take this away, I would pay. I use this all the time!

Really? Wow that’s great. I’m still within the 3 years so I still have it but thought I read on here that it doesn’t work without the connection. Great to know.

Porsche Connect just expired on my 2021 Taycan 4 CT and the remote climate function no longer works. This is the main reason I am going to renew.

That’s strange… mine works. Here’s how my app looks like now:

Mine too and my Porsche Connect expired at the first part of this year. I cannot access the car but the remote climate control continues to work.

That is surprising. It means that Porsche are continuing to pay the cell connection fees to the vehicle. I wonder do they do it for telemetry data collection reasons? Or in case someone subscribes to PVTS+ service?

No clue why.........................but I do like your assumption about data collection. That would be my guess as well. Another thing that 'works' is the map locator. When I click on the map on the app it shows where my car is physically located. That leads me even more to believe that your thought about data collection is right on.
