Correct even if i’m not sure what do you mean with “fully transferable?”
I bought additional 3 years, then i sold the car after a year, so warranty goes with the car, to the new owner since i haven’t received any refund for the next 2 years.
That's what I mean - the insurance policy is for the car, it does not depend on who buys it. And when you sell the car it is transferred with the car.

So when you are selling the car you can get more for it, because it is Porsche Approved.

26 months old?
It should still be under warranty.
When did you buy your car and was it new?
And which Porsche center is it?
I bought the car brand new from Porsche Center Antwerp on 08/2023.

Do you have a local shop that can do the work? My Porsche dealership bills out their techs at $500/hr while other shops are closer to $200/hr. Also parts are a lot cheaper. I’ve only used the dealership for recalls and warranty work.

Anyone else had issues with the Taycan high-voltage control unit?

My Taycan is only 26 months old with 30,000 km, and the high-voltage battery control unit just failed.
Porsche says it’s not covered by warranty and wants €4,800 to replace it 😡
This is already the second major repair in just two years — really disappointing for a car at this level.
I don't follow how it is out of warranty? Do you mean the battery warranty which is 8 years or the general Porsche Warranty for which I purchased the extended warranty. Do you have the general extended warranty?

The factory warranty is 2 years in the EU and he didn't buy Porsche Approved.

TBF I think this is going to be my last Taycan as well.
It’s hard to move to some other brand… at least in my country, no one is taking old Porsche into an account. I was asking at Mercedes and Volvo… not possible deal 🤷‍♂️
I’m seeing Taycans on the market, they are on sales by owners for half year, maybe even more…

otoh, i’m very satisfied with J2, so i hope it will serve me 6 years…at least 🙏

I'm really suprised to learn that Porsche factory warranty in Europe is only 2 years, while it's 4 years here in the USA. Why the difference? That's huge...

You buy it direct from Porsche, it is visible in PIWIS and valid worldwide.
Porsche buys the product from an insurance company.
So it is not from the the same provider as the initial factory warranty, correct?

That should lead to some good initial advice!

Do not buy a Porsche Taycan in the first place!
