I am looking at purchasing a Taycan and noticed damage to the front spoiler. It most likely got caught on a curb or parking stop block and ripped the plastic. My question is, can this front spoiler be replaced without having to replace the entire front-end piece? What are the options for repairing this damage?

That should be replaceable, Suncoast has the parts and IIRC they aren’t expensive as Porsche parts go.

Thanks, guys for the quick answer. I'll ensure the PPI covers any possible front-end damage under there.

Forget about it. 1. You don't know what is really damaged and the repair cost that comes with it. 2. I highly doubt that this is the only thing that is broken. Trust me, you can't tell what is broken on mine haha.

Is it from a Porsche dealer?

If that's been broken there's a chance of contact further back, and Porsche can get funny on the battery etc if the guard over that is damaged.

Buyer's market, so don't let heart rule head.

Be sure there is no damage to the battery tray before you spend any money. The $17,000 quoted earlier will look cheap if the battery is damaged. Needs to go to a qualified repair shop who won’t tell you the cost until they have taken it apart

I had exactly the same damage so I recognize the pattern.
It occurs when your bumper is on the curb and you drive backwards.
It graps the curb and rips...
It's an easy fix by plastic welding and reshaping it with a gas torch but it's a pain in the ass to remove the lip/bumper.
Better let them do it.

The car is at a Porsche Dealer, if that helps. Should I be concerned about them concealing more serious damage?

Well, definitely check that it's not more damage than that. Someone else here hit a small rodent and it caused $17,000 damage in that front end area because of all the cooling pipes and manifolds. If it is just that splitter, I wouldn't try to repair it as a new one is only a few hundred dollars: https://www.suncoastparts.com/produ...Y-ig9u-8UELMJHrI_s-ys3nKuucNtaR_s60dMcPrHh7cy
Let’s not exaggerate- the dealer eventually agreed to do it for a mere $7.6k.

But seriously, yeah, best to have even what looks trivial thoroughly inspected before purchase given what’s located there.

Dealer took this into account when car was traded/lease returned.
Make them put it on a lift so you and the tech can inspect, THEN if it is only the chin piece, have them replace it. Otherwise move on. Buyer’s market!
