Curious if that’s a controversial statement or if I’m the only one who thinks this.

It may not be as true for the 2025+ models, but I think the 20-24 Taycan looks better than the 911. It’s always turned my head since it came out.

They’re both good looking, but I just think it’s the Taycan headlights that put it over the top.

Your thoughts?

And if that’s the case, I think it’s the best looking car of any of the current models (at least from the front, other angles I could be convinced otherwise)

I agree and was hoping they would keep the theme true to the Mission E concept with J1.2, but they went plain and more generic looking. This has not stopped the latest Polestar 6 Roadster that is production ready to look clean and futuristic.

It’s a personal preference but I don’t think I’ll ever see a 4-door sedan that looks better than a comparable 2-door. The Cayman is the best looking to me but I got the Taycan because we needed a new car that could fit car seats and it’s the best looking sedan I’ve ever seen. That said, our 3rd car (if we ever get one) will be a 718 EV if it ever comes to market.

I do think the Taycan is a sexier looking car, and I also happen to like the sharper, more aggressive look of the 2025+ models and think it suits the aggressive headlights well. That said, I would be essentially just as happy with the 2024's front end - doesn't really make much of a difference when driving anyway.

This is why I bought my used '21 in spite of being knowledgeable about the many issues. My hope of getting a car which had the recalls and weaknesses corrected has so far been borne out. This is the best-looking car I've ever seen.

Side profile is a different story. It’s hard to make a sedan as sexy as a good coupe.

But Porsche definitely made this about as good looking as a sedan could be. It still screams “sports car” to me.

It's just like taste, you can't discuss it.
Of course I would agree the Taycan looks better but that's cuz I don't like a modern 911 anyway, it's a boring design.
Besides, you see them at every single corner of the streets.
A 930 however....

🥰🥰🥰

The Taycan looks way more futuristic and has its own personal identity.
Its rims are also part of the looks of course!

I always liked the J1.1 Taycan (and Mission-E) more than their 911 contemporaries. The much older 911 looked better. The newer ones lost something. The ICE Macan and Cayenne always turned me off as far as their headlights. I kind of prefer the look of Macan EV and the Cayenne EV over their ICE counterparts (completely ignoring the fact that they are EV, which I prefer, but talking purely looks).

That said, the latest 911 looks better than some of the 2000 era ones with weird large headlights.

I guess I like the rectangular lights, and the (mostly) circular ones, but dislike the other shapes that Porsche tried. I test drove a Cayenne a few times when I was shopping for a new car, looks were a fairly large reason I never picked one up (the other ones were price for what I was getting).

All that said, plenty of people like the ICE Macan look, so I must be in the minority. I would however pick up a 911 if I wanted a dedicated track car (and had a place to park it), or for some fun road driving if I lived in a state with better roads. For the state I'm in, Taycan is the best for me.

The Taycan is stunning, especially the .1, but I don't think anything quite matches the iconic 911
