Without Hesitation, Id buy one again. But tbh id like to keep this car for as long as i possibly can, I have little care about the "technology" i deliberately brought one with less extra bits, Id really like to see if i can find someone who might re-upholster the interior to have the heritage interior from the 911 sport classic edition.

Really love Driving it, Its so comfortable to just drive, Then put it in to sport plus and go for a really fun drive. I share it with my wife. She finds it so easy to drive every day and loves it.

As long as i can get another one with the chrono package again ill get another without hesitation. I might get one with the seat memory thing tho next time. Is kinda useful as we share a car.

Yes. This car is perfect for my daily driving needs. I would either buy another after a significant upgrade (latest refresh is not enough for me given price increase), not buy a car at all since I am a low mileage driver, or buy an exotic.

Ditto. I’ve come to realize it’s a niche car and not for everyone, but it’s perfect for my needs and what I value in a car.

when Porsche can offer a taycan with a solid 300 mile plus range and upgrades the software I would come back into the fold.

while I am enjoying my Lucid there is nothing that can top the taycan driving experience.
was talking with another lucid owner of the GT at local cars and coffee he is in the same frame of mind. Taycan Glitchy software and short range 4 trips
He did say the lucid was the best overall EV he owned, which included Taycan turbo /Plaid/ as well. Mine is spectacular but I do move on from DD’s after a year or so.

I have had one software glitch that was corrected with a reboot, it was my first ride after delivery, have had none since.
the range in local traffic is nothing great, it is outstanding at "normal" highway speeds.
my biggest complaint is that I just cannot seem to find the right driving position.
I still miss the taycan, the lucid is far better than the teslas that I had, but if the refresh taycans hit the mark I probably will return to the fold.

Love my Taycan Turbo bit must admit to being incredibly disappointed by the 50% depreciation in year 1. This thing will be worthless in no time at this rate. As much as I love these cars, I can’t see me throwing away over $100k after one year again.

No, most unreliable piece of tech I have witnessed in my life. I have it for 15 months and it has spent 5 months in the shop. Right now it is in the shop again because of AC onboard charger which again made whole car immobile. It is a first generation EV and it shows. And it also shows, that VW group has low quality software engineers and computer scientist, because the processes how the car behaves when something is wrong is just amateurish from the software and architectural standpoint.
The cherry on top is extremely long waiting times for service without loaner every time (Prague, Czech Republic).

When it drives, it is the best EV out there. Looking forward for next generation or generation after that.

You are comparing a car which was older than a year (due to the pandemic delay, per your post here), comparing tail end of the pandemic bubble retail price (probably with taxes and registration, and maybe even ADM) to a post pandemic non-negotiated trade-in price for a sports car in the middle of winter. There was also a fairly significant refresh that just happened (MY25/gen2 Taycans). This is as extreme of a comparison as you can make.

If I wanted to look worst case numbers like this, every car I buy depreciates 11% to 30% in just one day(!), since just taxes and registration in my state are >11%, and of course dealer is not going to offer a trade-in price the same as what they sell it at (why would they, they can get a same new car from the factory for cheaper).

Best proof, show us 1 year old Turbos (or any Taycans for that matter) selling for 50% off of what new are selling for today. Or better yet, you have a 2022 Turbo, so show us a 2022 Turbo selling at 1/8 the price (MY2025's are new now, so 2022 us 3 years old, at 50% depreciation a year, that's $25K for a $200K MSRP car).

And the Taycan is not the worst for deprivation either. Still significant and a bleak picture, but the market for EV’s seem to be in a correction phase.

I also see there are many new gen 2 Taycans for sale here on the dealers sites. And increasing every day. But again I do not think it is just a Porsche problem

Economy in Europe is not doing great (outside a few smaller countries), so no wonder people are not buying new cars. Market for cars is slowing in the US as well, not just for EV's. The biggest issue I see is people getting used to the pandemic market for cars as "normal", where you could buy a 2020 Taycan, drive it a year, and have the dealer kiss your feet for selling it back to them for only $5K over MSRP. The market prices were insane, because the supply of new cars was extremely limited. I had to buy a car in 2022, ended up paying over MSRP for a 2 year old car (hated it, I never paid over MSRP before or since, usually well under)! I've been buying cars for decades, "normal" depreciation for expensive cars is 50%-60% after 4 years, with the first 2 years depreciation being about 30-35%, most of which happens when you pick up your keys. Can you do better, sure, buy a base, no options Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla. Base with no options always depreciates the least -a base Taycan CT4 is probably the least depreciating Taycan today.

PS> Rumor has it a Honda Fit in the US is almost entirely depreciation-proof. Used ones are going for close to MSRP.

Consider yourself lucky I’ve only owned it for 10 months and it’s been in the shop for more then five and keeps growing.

I've had my 2024 Taycan GTS for three months now. If anything, I am more in love with it now than before I bought it. I was disgusted with Tesla over their service philosophy and the rantings of their CEO so I sold my Plaid and would have purchased any other EV. I did not warm up to the Taycan until I saw it in person. Now that I have grown accustomed to the driving experience there is no turning back. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

No, I wont buy the facelift because it has same flaws as previous one, too low to the ground, small trunk space, not a luxury interior, not too quiet. I have high expectations from next one with Android based OS, better cameras, improved efficiency, hopefully bigger trunk and higher ground clearance.
