Whatever works for a broad measurement. I think a lot of people want some numbers for RWD PB+ before committing and this is a low risk way to get some numbers

As a Taycan RWD MY22 PB+ owner I installed the new ECU (20% more power available all the time, speed limit removal, unfiltered throttle response). At 60% battery, which is a realistic scenario (I never charge to 100% anyway), 19ºC outside temperature, 28ºC battery temperature and Michelin PS4 (not PS4S) 20” 245/285 tires, this is now a car it should have been from the factory. Acceleration is such that on a slick and dry asphalt even at 60km/h traction control steps in. My relationship with my RWD PB+ was love/hate until now, a great car but underpowered. Now it is just perfect and I have no desire to own a higher trim.

@ntom32 did you have a chance to measure the 0-100km/h acceleration? Can you share the numbers with us?

I just received and installed my Redshift ECU yesterday on my ST GTS. Big shout out to Mario for working hard to get my ECU shipped out to me before he left town for vacation at the end of last week!

I took Redshift up on the “secondary ECU“ option and did not have to send in my factory unit. Simply exported a dataset that I read off my car using a bluetooth OBD scanner and the CarScanner app.

I was going to try to gather some performance data, however, I seem to have lost my Draggy hardware in a recent move. I believe the CarScanner app will enable me to record 0-X times, so I will try to do that.

Suffice to say, I have no doubt the car is putting out SUBSTANTIALLY more power than in stock form. The acceleration at max power is, frankly, almost too much and definitely going to get me in trouble!
Would love to see some results or get more feedback.
I have a GTS and have been pondering the upgrade for a while.

Just posting my performance results after installing a secondary ECU with the REDSHIFT Stage 3 tune.

Car: 2020 Taycan Turbo S
Mileage: 11,764
Battery SOC: 70%
Ambient Temperature: 14 degree C
REDSHIFT Stage 3 options: 800+ bhp, no speed limiter, unfiltered throttle, increased regen power

Driving impressions: Car pulls hard and instantaneously with launch mode ferocity from all speeds - thank God for the head restraints! Increased regen is very noticeable. Previously I could coast to a stop at junctions and lights but now I stop short unless foot remains on throttle. Definite increase in ‘engine braking’. Snappy throttle response at all speeds and drive modes but easy to drive smoothly. Nose lifts under extreme acceleration. Don’t recall this previously.

Here are my before and after numbers …

I hadn't noticed the annotations before...it looks like it at least in some areas ?

Without launch control the car was quicker WITH the ECU tune from 0-60 by 0.18 seconds.

I concede that with launch control it appears slower but the battery level was lower at that point along with other conditions being less favourable.

I had intended to do another speed run with the RedShift ECU but never got round to it. Will try again when the weather warms up!

You have to keep in mind Launch Control also controls tire slip for maximum acceleration. Even on my lowly RS e-tron GT, I spin more without launch control

If you look at the difference in acceleration time in the 60-100mph, its as follows:

100mph - 60mph delta below:

Stock w/o launch control: 7.559 - 3.18 = 4.409 seconds

Stock w/ launch control: 6.72 - 2.76 = 3.96 seconds

Modified w/o launch control: 6.839 - 3.00 = 3.839 seconds

Modified w/ launch control: 6.72 - 2.82 = 3.90 seconds

If you take the low speed acceleration out of the equation and focus on higher time-to-speed deltas to reduce traction variations, you'll see that there is improvement in both launch control and non-launch control acceleration with Redshift over stock.

I am interested in doing this if I can leave NORMAL mode as is, and get ALL the performance in SPORT mode.

how is shipping to Germany handled with a secondary ECU?
Import tax on the ECU only?

Did you manage to try it again with higher battery %

Not yet. Hopefully this week as the weather in the UK Is about to hit 18 degrees C ?

I haven’t been in a hurry as all the other improvements the RedShift tune brings (max power all the time, instant throttle response) are so nice to have anyway!
