Yes, absolutely.

However, often newer software features are only available for the newer generations or even model year.

An example is (and I could be wrong), that with the MY2024 the passenger display received the ability to watch youtube or stream videos, which is not possible for the MY2020. One can argue if it is needed.

Maybe another one is the ability to use Apple Carplay Ultra, this will most likely be available for MY2026 or later. We still need to wait and see.

Hence, the current software update feature you get today will be limited. I know, smart devices have the same problem at some point in time, however, the investment is a bit different and they still receive more features over time than the PCM or any traditional car maker.
To be clear, these updates are restricted to my24+ only because the PCM can break during updates, so porsche doesn't want to risk it :)

Manual charge door standard again.

More sculpted front facia

A Rwd “S” model to sit betweeen Base and 4S. Just give it 500hp and call it a day.

Physical volume knob on the console.

Quieter blinkers.

  1. NACS Plug anat the drivers side and CCS plug at passenger
  2. V2V V2L options (Or 1800w 110v power port like the eGMP platform or Lucid have)
  3. Manual eShift like the eGMP N stuff, while maybe at the same time getting rid of the rear axle transmission.

I fully agree, which confirms my point, hardware should be easily upgraded as well. ?

For this example, the small it may be, a car in this segment should have a PCM that is able to handle this feature update within the entire J1.X cycle. ?

My wishlist:
- vehicle to grid support
- suicide doors like mission e concept
- more leather color options. I want the BMW brown colors.
- bracket where I could hang an iPad for rear passengers, so my kids can watch television while we are on road trips
- solar roof to charge when parked
- non EV rims options. I couldn’t care less about range.
- black spoiler for ST like the CT or Panamera ST have
- 5 gauges at my dashboard like Panamera
- and I want @chun to be happy, so we get less Chinese EV propaganda (lol)

A way to be easily jumpstarted (with one of those portable jump starters?) when the small battery dies.

I don’t want a new Taycan until a real jump in battery tech is possible :). Lighter, longer life, consistent range greater than 300 miles for 10+ years.

I am happy with the J1.1 for the foreseeable future.

One more actually, the speed limit recognition (for the tempo limiter and Inodrive):
  • Stop updating the speed to the perpandicular residential small street where I'm definitely not going into. (ex: 30 instead of the current road's 50).
  • If I already just set the speed limit to something close to the new sign, don't update it (ex: I set it to 85 and it gets reset to 80 after 1 second).
  • Give me a permanent setting somewhere to add x km/h to the recognized sign. The speedo is a few percent below my actual speed; and radars have an error margin; thus I always add 5km/h to the official speed limit.

Vehicle to Grid would be the major thing I’d wish for, otherwise there’s nothing. Maybe make it slightly smaller and keep the Panamera as the huge saloon.

Very simple for me:
A center console that I can access without tying myself in a knot. It is actually dangerous to try and access the charge ports while driving. Is that too much to ask...?

Not to break down!!! Not to be apart for 5 months while getting fixed!! ....But I still really want a new one! Tried the Lotus Electric and it's a poor chinese version with too much weight and too big, floating with no feeling of the road, not very Lotus like at 2.5 tonnes. Electric Cayman/911 would be perfect :) But in the meantime, reliable, super fast, good looking 4s
