I’ve got my winter tyres on right now, the OEM tyres were discarded as too worn when i mounted the winters.

Question regarding replacement summer tyres - GTS Sport Turismo OEM Spider 21” wheels. what were the OEM tyres and what tyres are people recomending? I’m assuming its between the Pirelli P0 and the Michelin Pilot Sport?

Can any body tell me the speed rating on the OEM tyres?

many thanks

P Zero on GTS ST (other options too)

Go to the Porsche configurator and check the tyre and wheel choices there.

Porsche tyres are typically N rated.

I have these on my 21" Spyders.
Standard fitment in the UK (at least on my car - a 4s ST).

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 (Porsche (NF1)) 305/30 R21 Y (104), Reinforced, Asymmetrical

If you want to stick with Porsche Approved/Rated NF tyres, with the GTS on 21" Spyders you have a choice of Pirelli PZero's or Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrics. That's literally it. If you aren't bothered about sticking with NF rated hoops, your options open up slightly.

I've recently replaced my PZero's with Goodyear Asymmetric 5 NF1's. Previous PZero's lasted 16k miles. Be interesting to see what the longevity of the Goodyears is.

I’m at 12,000 miles with the Pirellis and will replace them all in the next couple of weeks. Porsche San Antonio recommended asy 3, do you know the difference between the 3 and 5? How’s the ride/grip feel against the Pirellis?

After 16k miles my PZero's still had about 2.5 - 2.8mm of tread left with no appreciable inner sidewall wear. I run in 'Normal' mode most of the time so that perhaps explains the lack of inner tread/sidewall wear.

I don't think there's a huge difference between the Asymmetric 3 and 5, likely just slightly improved tyre technology. I know you can get the 3 with a wheel guard thing that goes around the edge of the tyre, like rim protection. Not sure if the 5 is available with that. It's early days yet to say if I can notice any improvement or otherwise or grip/feel as it's only just turned Spring here in Scotland, UK so the roads have been cold and wet for the past few months.

That said, in -minus temps, the Goodyears hardly exhibit the Ackerman effect at all (slow speed banging/skipping over the road surface when turning out of a junction or on your drive) compared to the PZero's which did that regularly.

Ride quality, I'm thinking the Goodyears are slightly less comfortable over rough road surfaces and maybe a touch noisier but there's really very little in it to be honest and it would be akin to splitting hairs I think!

Handling and braking in cold and on on wet roads, I can't fault them. Maybe slightly better than the PZero's but that's possibly a bit placebo like, as I'm kind of comparing brand new tyres to how the old ones felt when they were wearing down.

Both the Pirelli's and Goodyears are absolutely summer oriented tyres so it'll be interesting to see once the weather improves, how they feel on a warm day on dry roads.

Ultimately, I'm pleased with them so far. Got a great deal and saved 35% on a set of four with Halfords 'Tyres on the drive' mobile fitting. Can't complain at that!

My J1.2 4S ST also came with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 (Porsche (NF1)) . I have just replaced one of the front tyres after a puncture and surprisingly after 12600 miles the tread depth across the tyre was 5.7mm inner rising to 6.0mm outer edge so I only needed one tyre. The rears are down to 4.25mm to 4.75mm. I'll stick with Goodyear when I replace the rears

For those of us who are originally ordering the 21” RS Spyders (or any other 21” wheel), there are no original-order all seasons. To go to A/S’s when the weather first dictates (but do not want/need winter tires), and thereafter for our vehicles use, though saving the OEM summer tires for use the last six to eight warmer months before lease our turn back), I have only found this Porsche rate NF option.; however am I missing another NF, A/S option?

Oh yeah, the Ackerman effect is brutal on the Pirellis, I cringe when I hear it and my wife gets surprised every time.

The front right tire is at 3mm while the other three are at 4mm as of 1,000 miles ago and I could possibly drive them a bit more, but here comes rainy season (though not as much as in Scotland lol) and hill country driving weather, so I want to get ahead of that now. I’ll ask the dealership about asy 5, thanks!

TireRack for my area shows the following all season options:

Continental ProContact RX
Goodyear Eagle Touring (there are NF0s and NF1s)

I have the Goodyear asy 5's and still have 6mm left on the fronts after 22,000 mm. I just replaced the rears that had asy 3's when they got down to about 3mm. I got the car CPO a year ago and guessing the fronts were brand new when I got it.

What was the mileage on the car when you took delivery?
