A probably dumb question regarding OTA updates. Do you have to have an active Porsche Connect sub? I don't, have had my Taycan 8 months and have never seen an update notice... . Also, I've looked high and low, and haven't seen where applied updates are listed; are they?
TIA

Actual driving, I charged last night at home with 20 miles left in range after driving 255 miles overall.
That would be great, but … those previously posted figures represent a 17% increase in range.
Do we really think Porsche can somehow unlock more range via an OTA update?
(Granted, Porsche did decrease the L2 charging speed by exactly that same percentage, but that’s just a simple imposition of a new limit.)

You need to have updates turned on / allowed in the app, but you don’t need a Porsche Connect subscription.

I forgot to say that I also went from always on regen to auto, that gave me about 5% gain and then the other 5% gain with the OTA

What is the software version number of the latest update? I’m running MPR3_US_POG46_K3882 and it says no updates are available.

Pushed it hard yesterday during a spirited 2 hr 80 mile drive across the Texas Hill Country, reaching 100mph at times, 90% in Sport or Sport Plus. Dropped the range some but not a lot.

That 5% gain makes sense, since Porsche thinks that lift-off regen is less efficient.
(And that is turned off in Range mode.)
I can't recall any claims re the auto setting for lift-off regen, but given that the setting is essentially applying lift-off regen only when upcoming road conditions would probably have the driver applying brake-pedal regen anyway, the auto setting is just trying to anticipate the inevitable.

As for me, alas still no discernable range gain from the OTA update: yesterday I drove a 146.5-mile loop, in optimal temperatures but mainly suboptimal speeds (both too slow and too fast), using up 61% SoC, so extrapolated 240-mile range.
Efficiency was better than the prior day's roundtrip drive, which doesn't make any sense, since the range was lower!
But extrapolating from that, my SoH is 93.1%, which is respectable for almost 76k miles (almost 58k by me, w/ the first ~18k by the original owner) and with five months to go until the car's half-decade anniversary (and a little over a month away from my three-year ownership anniversary).

I thought I was imagining things - glad to read that others have experienced a range boost with this update. Now, for the MY21 Turbo S, the boos it barely enough to get to the grocery store - but I'll take it :)

I have 2021 CT4 53k miles in the UK.
After the update I ra the battery to 5% then did a 100% charger following thr BMS/SOH rest process from the forum.
My car then showed 245 range. After that I ran it down to 20% and charged back to 100 to see anything changes. This time its at 225.

Not sure of the OTA or the BMS reset process but now have 20 miles lesser range..

I doubt it.
either you release a bit of the buffer from the battery or you consume less.
If the last update was doing that it will be largely advertised.
This all thing look like a wrong calculation to me.
I hope I’m wrong but I will see that as a miracle.

Let’s be honest here. This is a great driving vehicle that looks fantastic, especially with mission E wheels. The software however absolutely yacks overall. 👍

Did the update last week on our 22 CT4, 100% is now at 256. Did a 100 mile drive on Saturday and consumption/range is working out to be 256 miles. Will see how it goes over the next few weeks.

My J1.1 2022 4S CT just got an OTA update that included some tweaks to the battery management system. At 85% SoC, my range now says 242 miles (was around 220 before). Whether or not this translates to real world range improvement ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but it’s nice to see that the J1.1 cars haven’t been completely forgotten.
I dream of 220 miles at 80% on my 2022 CT 4S. I have never had more than 208 miles at 100% in a year of ownership. Could be my driving style I guess

SOH went up from 84 to 86 without me doing anything about it. I wonder if it’s related to the update.
