So next is … the smell of cleverly crafted “103 Octane fumes“ in a car freshner pushed through the A/C vents inside the cabin at start-upOn the other hand however, most of the ICE enthusiasts hide behind the excuse of "not feeling nor hearing a sound", "the emotions coming of an engine". And so, if it can give a push to these people to convert from ICE to EV, I'm all up for it!
The sound is kind of stupid since it is emulating a combustion engine.
Yeah. It means my J1.2 just took a giant hit.A J1.3 is better than no development or investment.
Timing is good for those of us who want to upgrade in a couple of years to get a second hand depreciated version lol.
I think simulating riding on horseback while galloping would be even more engaging. Repeatedly smack the side of the seat to engage passing or attack mode!Perhaps we could go even further back in time and have an option which makes the car bump around as though it were towed by a horse?
to sale a 9000 rpm add-onWhy is there a tachometer on a Taycan?
Did they just use AI to make this picture?
If it’s for the fake transmission shifts that’s super lame to have fake RPM……. Especially since our motors actually have a real RPM. Why not just show that?

It appears that Taycan CT configurator has disappeared from the US site, but is there in the Canadian configurator. It's possible that Porsche US market research predicted that a significant percentage of Taycan CT sales would end up moving to Macan EV and Cayenne EV, resulting in offering of the Taycan CT no longer being worth while in US. Or it's another Porsche glitch.Am I just blind or am I not currently seeing CT variants on the US configurator? Hopefully will update later…
Maybe they will... fumes brain damage over time.So next is … the smell of cleverly crafted “103 Octane fumes“ in a car freshner pushed through the A/C vents inside the cabin at start-up
.. and then rev-limiting fuel cut-off simulation and the associated jolt !
I don’t think the ICE lovers are going to be that easily fooled !
So let's see...As the PCM is such a central part of the Taycan I would almost call it 1.3![]()
What's important differs from person to person.Nothing of significant importance changed...
Those people are driving the wrong car. Even the Taycan PCM on the new Cayenne is nothing compared to what other car makes have.TL;DR: for some people it could very well be a bigger update than what j1.2 got, if they care more about the noise and the software/pcm.
