Unfortunate
I still think its a case of "when" and not "if" the 718 EV happens. But the "when" could be 2027+ away still. It all depends on them settling on a reliable battery supplier. They are a (partially) public company now and all their public roadmap releases and communications indicate it has still got a place in the future lineup. That’s why I am considering another Taycan. I don’t think the EV Boxster is going to happen.
I still want a Porsche, and I still don’t want ICE.
They used a North American spec car to do that? Possible, but I'd be surprised. Defo doesn't pass the "smell test" for me.They told me that this is the car that set the NB record.
It does show surround cars/trucks/bikes & like others stated, J1.2 can't access FoD so no add on possible ( ALK/Innodrive )Does it show the cars around you like it is with some other car brands? Or what does the 3 lanes with up to 5 road users mean?
Ha, this drove me crazy, coming from Audi myself. Then I got a Macan 25 loaner a couple of months ago and noticed the lever matched Audi’s, I thought maybe only the Macan was updated. Glad to see it made it to the J1.2 as well.Cruise control leaver, taken from Audi, now makes sense.
My sales guy told me 2027 for the EV Boxter... but I suppose he doesn't really know. That’s why I am considering another Taycan. I don’t think the EV Boxster is going to happen.

I just purchased a CPO 2025 GTS. I believe they are slightly faster than the 4S and I'm told the suspension is tuned differently (more "sporty"). I doubt I'd know the difference. That one is way too much money for me. I drive my cars and there is a limit to how much cash I want on the road.
Eyeballing a 2025 GTS.
I haven’t decided yet though. It would be nice to restart warranty, free EA, connectivity, and get all the improvements.
On the flip side it’s a large cash outlay to get basically what I have now. Even my move from the base to the GTS felt muted, this one would be more so.
I was supposed to be in a Boxster EV by now.
The speed limit warning is certainly not part of the 2025 US models... Was your CPO a European car, or how did you get stuck with that?I just purchased a CPO 2025 GTS. This is my spec if it helps: https://porsche-code.com/PT5BNQA1 (the 2026 version that is... so it's not 1:1 but it's close... I think only thing it has wrong is noise insulated glass). Happy to answer any questions but I don't have a J1.1 comparative.
Things I very much like: Rear Wheel Steering, Active Ride, 360 cameras
Things that are kinda cool: Light Strip with Illuminated "PORSCHE" Logo
Things that are party tricks (to me): Launch Mode, Push to Pass
Things I HATE: Armrest center storage (I assume that is the same with your current model), stupid EU regulations forcing speed limit warnings every time you start the car (I don't think you have this) requiring you turn it off every drive (you can create a short cut key to do that for you... it didn't turn on today when I first drove the car, so I'm not sure if it saves the state or not now... I'm told it does not).
Opposite for us who are used to the original Porsche way on Cayenne and Macan ICE.Ha, this drove me crazy, coming from Audi myself. Not happening. Mothership told me China is the factor. They cannot proceed as they cannot compete in that market. Just because Derek wants one and will pay full price, is not enough for them to justify making it. There is no demand in their biggest market so there will be no supply. My sales guy told me 2027 for the EV Boxter... but I suppose he doesn't really know.
There should be a setting to turn off speed limit warning in the Assistance settings in the US. EU requires that to be on at every restart. I am pretty sure about that as I was able to turn it off on Macan EV.I just purchased a CPO 2025 GTS. I believe they are slightly faster than the 4S and I'm told the suspension is tuned differently (more "sporty"). I doubt I'd know the difference.
