Below is an image I just took of my car sitting in my dark garage through the driver's window. Locked, armed and hasn't moved for 2 days. Key was inside. The picture is overexposed; it's not as bright as this looks but this gives you an idea. You can see the chrono clock is on as well.
Yep this would definitely appear to be an issue i.e. not normal behaviour - either something is in constant comms with your car (app? if not key - assume you're main and spare key are in fact far enough away (min 3 m) when stored?) or there is a bug in the PCM that for some reason is keeping it in a state of readiness and not fully in sleep mode when locked/left alone.

............... Key was inside............
Just checking but I assume again you mean key was inside house i.e. not inside the car, right?

Just occurred to me also, do you have the extended Comfort Access turned on - if key far enough away it should not matter but just curious if in the case it is on, if you then turn that off is there any change in behaviour?

Mine is exactly the same. Don’t have comfort access and put the keys into metal box to make sure there is no comm.

One for the list I suppose…

I do have major issues with Porsche connect, which doesn’t work at all any more. Car goes into the dealer at the end of jan to sort things out.

Hmmm - have your tried deleting Connect and installing the newer MyPorsche app and do you then have the same connection issues?

I ask as, thinking out loud, could it be that the car is trying to be in 'receiver' mode to allow it to be pinged by the app to determine SOC etc but for some reason (bad comms module?) it cannot get to that state and hence why it is not going into full sleep mode automatically?

Yes, I meant the key was inside the house at least 20M away through 2 block walls.

I do have extended comfort access enabled. I will play around with various settings and see if I can figure it out, now that I know it is not right.

I guess I can put it into private mode and see if that changes things. Worth a shot.

Doesn’t make a difference. But even in private mode the modem still communicates for SOS and authentification.

I really think this has to do with my general connect problem. The dealer tried to reset the modem today but wasn’t successful (it won’t reset). Thus the appointment at the end of jan to try and sort it out.

Ah so it does potentially sound like a defective comms/modem unit? Hopefully they can get a replacement if nec. in some sort of reasonable timeframe! Better of course if a fixable SW issue - best of luck!

The dealer indeed said this was a possibility, but they need the car longer to check thoroughly. Thanks!

I turned off comfort access and extended comfort access but the problem persists.

Did you try a PCM reset?

No idea if its a universal solution but might you also have the comm/modem issue that @Thorgal has?
I don’t think so. I was using the Connect app which worked fine but I also have the alarm issue so I tried switching to the My Porsche app which also works fine but didn’t resolve the alarm issues.

Mine also does this. I thought it was just how it was. But didn‘t look very elegant to me. Now I know it may be a bug,.

Interesting. I wonder if everyone with a '22 is having this issue and if it's just CT's or all models.
My '22 RWD completely powers off. No P illuminated nor anything else. It was not locked. As soon as I opened door...it woke up...5 minutes later was asleep.
