Could you recommend a jack stand that will work. I see many kinds, too many to choose from.
I am trying to locate the Jack Stands as it appears minimum height needs to be 6 inches and I cannot find any that are that low.

So far:

- I am reading the manual and all good points to go into Jack mode in the PCM first
- I got 2 pins now to guide the wheels
- I got a jack from the Cayenne and it is scissor style and heavy duty, easy to use and slide under, but not compatible to go into the jack point on the Taycan, too wide, so it will be pressing one the extended plastic edges of the Taycan jack points.
- I got a jack from the Macan but it is very strange type and has a screw that will come too close to the body, so not going to touch that one, but will measure it up again to see if it is good enough for support on the same side wheel to go into the jack point.
- I am struggling to find Jack Stands that would fit under, then fit into jack points, as I am measuring 6 inch minimum to slide under, most are 11 inches minimum.

I found this Jack, with minimum height right below 6 inches, so wondering now, if I use it to lift, is it safe to keep the car on on it for 3 days. I will sure use the OEM jack to use for support on the same side at the other wheel, since it will be compatible with the jack point.

Everyone's comments are very helpful, thank you.

Have you looked up any mobile wheel repair services? They come to you and repair on the vehicle. If it’s just cosmetic, it sounds like this would be your best bet, having no tools on hand.

It’s great if you want to start wrenching on your own car though. Any 3ton floor jack would do. No adapter pad needed. I wouldn’t bother with a jack stand since there’s no place to place it while the floor jack is in place (unless you splurge for a Jackpoint jack stand). Lift the car only enough to see light under the tire and you won’t break your back removing and installing the wheel.

Dude DO NOT leave your car on the OEM jack up for 3 days!!! Get a set of jack stands to lower the car onto. Not saying the jack is WILL fail, but that's really tempting fate there for an extremely expensive repair bill!!!
I don’t see how you can put the jack stand while the floor jack is in the jack point. The manual doesn’t show a jack point in the front center of the car, which is where you would jack it up while freeing the two front side jack points

[...] Paying $200 for an OEM roadside jack is wild.
Looks like the Porsche tax is now up to ~300%!

If I had to do something like this, I would jack up my Taycan with the Modern Spare roadside jack, replace the wheel with my eBay Macan 19X6 Vredestein Spacemaster spare, then lower the Taycan.

And yes, I did a Taycan test lift with the Modern Spare jack, and I've also used it to remove a wheel on the almost equally heavy BMW i4 M50. (To remove a stone stuck between the brake caliper and dust shield.)

Hi Jonathan, I wonder if you could share what is this "Modern Spare Roadside Jack" you referencing?

https://modernspare.com/product/4000-lb-trulift-ratcheting-scissor-jack-w-rubber-contact-point/
The contact point fits just fine in the Taycan jack point. Smaller than the jack point, so in theory it could move around within the jack point, but still seems secure.
I have one each for our i4 and Taycan. Despite the vehicle weight, jacking up the car is a one-handed operation.
If I were swapping winter <> summer/all-season tire/wheel sets though, I would use a floor jack instead.
But for a one-time operation like you're contemplating, this is fine. Although no way would I leave any vehicle up on a jack like this (or even a floor jack) for days at a time!

Get a set of jack stands to lower the car onto.
I don't see how you would do that? The only safe place to jack the car is the jack point, and then how are you going to get the jack out and insert a jack stand? Where else would you put the jack stand?

What I did in a similar situation is jack with this jack from Amazon and then wedge a piece of metal under the jack arm to act like a jack stand. The only likely failure mode in a name-brand jack is hydraulic fluid leaking back to the reservoir, lowering the jack slowly over a few days. A burly chunk of metal will stop that.

By the way, that steel 2-ton jack is out of stock, but others like that are available. The aluminum version is 2x the price. And it is fine to jack the car with a flat pad like that jack has, pushing on the entire jack point block on the Taycan. You don't need the aftermarket jackpads, but they are nice if you want. I have them.

Taycan weighs the same as a cayenne. So it’s not that crazzy heavy. You can use a cayenne spare - know anyone with a cayenne?? :) the only thing I wish is if they had points you can jack the car so you can get a stand under. Our cayenne had some that I would use.

I carry an Amazon scissors jack in the car. It fits into the jack point on my 2020 4S. Once I started carrying the jack and a used Cayenne inflatable spare I haven't any flats....

I have a Cayenne with a collapsible spare wheel.

To add another option to this list - I ordered from creative Steele - delivery of which is delayed because of weather issues at their plant, I needed one in a day so had to order this one from amazon and it works perfectly at $14.99 - an excellent fit....

Excellent find. I did not use something like this and the jack I used cosmetically damaged the jack point, that cost me $40 to order and now I just need to use it to replace the damaged one. The jack point appears to be using a pull out clip mechanism.
