The Taycan’s overall appearance hasn’t changed, but there are a few subtle differences. The lower front splitter, which is standard on the Gen 1 Turbo, is available as an option on most Gen 2 models.

Note that Gen 1 Base, 4S, and GTS models can also be fitted with the lower front splitter if they’re optioned with the carbon package.

So, which appearance do you prefer?

For me, it’s Generation 1. I’m quite biased, so my opinion shouldn’t hold much weight.

I prefer the headlights, wheel options, interior color options, and visible passenger display from Generation 1.

However, I prefer the PCM, range, efficiency, and battery capacity from Generation 2.

It’s a heart versus brain battle, and in this case, the heart wins.

gen2 is better under the hood.

I am also biased but now that I've seen one in the flesh, I definitely like the look of gen1 especially the sport design rear.

Gen 1.1 for me, personally. However Gen 1.2 looks are certainly not putting me off buying one once it's time to move from my J1.1 GTS ST.

Definitely Gen 1 for me, but I own one so as @Jasper4S said, I'm biased :)

Almost 88% think the J1 is better looking. Probably even higher if you compare the Turbo versions. I just don't know why they had to spend their time and money to make the car worse looking.

the Gen2 turbo with the lower splitter looks more like Gen1 with new lights. I quite like it.

Gen 1 view across the bonnet was way batter than the 1.2. The creases in the wings aren’t a great design.
And yes, like almost everyone, the 1.1 lights are way better.

The j1.1 is better looking judging on the front bumper design except for the Turbo as pointed out has even more distinction on the j1.2.

Also with the j1.2 the sports design bumper has minimal distinction with the base bumper. At least with the j1.1, the sport design bumper was more distinctive.

I would say it's the J1.2 GT as the best, then J1.2 Turbo S and then the J1.1 Turbo S and everything else is a wash below that.

Since there are way more J1 owners than J1.2, expect the results to show that bias.
