I know this is highly subjective, but I just can't get over the styling 'refresh', and why Porsche felt the need to ruin the styling of what I think is the most beautiful sedan on the road today. They could have taken a page from the Tesla book and not done anything to the 'styling', and redirecting 16% of their budget to making the new version even better. I'd take a poll, but I don't think it would be even close. Who thinks the new version looks better than the original??

You have not even shown the rear fake vent cutouts. I agree with setting up a poll as we have 2 basic new looks in Base/4/4S/GTS and the Turbo/TurboS/GT (shovel nose with rear vent cut outs).

The SportDesign package is a tack on of old trim pieces, not original, and out of place. Who thought that this looks good:

I'm also not a fan of the interior update. I thought the Gen 1 nailed the interior and exterior and both just feel worse (although still excellent.)

It was done for aerodynamics I’d bet…at the expense of beauty.

I agree totally, the J1 was beautiful and the J1.2 is too Audi for me. It's enough to make me keep my J1 longer

I'm sure it will have been done to maximise efficiency and range stats though

I formerly owned a 21 4s, and now own a 25. I was never super-excited about the tear-drops--I was rather neutral on the entire design and wanted the car because it was a performance ev.
With the '25, I find the car to be more attractive and certainly not the visual disaster many have complained about.
Not thrilled with the pepita fabric though, and less thrilled by the faux leather.
These small disappointments are totally forgotten with some right ankle plantar flexion.

What don't you like about the pepita and faux leather? I'm about to lock in a build and was leaning that direction.

Pepita is what I would choose too for the j1.2. The thing I dislike about the fake leather is the corner stitching behind the instrument panel, it looks very cheap and is not ok for a 100k+ car. This corner is my reason why I opted for the extended leather for my j1 model

Not my cup of tea especially the non turbos. Seen six in the flesh now and they do nothing for me. Still think J1 is the most beautiful sedan on the streets. To each their own.

I do find the teardrop to be a little frivolous, a bit overly designed for no reason. I prefer the sharper front of the facelifted Turbos. It looks pretty badass and racy. But.... only when you look at the front alone. The back part of the car is pretty curvy, which I feel is not the best match to the sharper front. I think this facelift design shows the Porsche designers are also struggling finding a clear design language for this car.

Having said all this, it's also a bit potato-potato. The car is sexy regardless and drives like a dream.
