Would you buy a Taycan again?

Fabulous to drive but stupid to own.
Would I buy EV again - quite possibly. I must love pain.

Taycan after 8 Years will be worth nothing.
Even buying at good discount it’s still money thrown in the bin.
Buying it second hand even worse. It’s evil.
This apply to all the EV.

At the moment the market is strongly influenced by the misinformation about EVs being spread by the technically illiterate, yes.
This is sad and a sign of the times and absence of social media peer review and is influencing everything, not just cars.

OTOH I hope with time the stupidity of the anti EV propaganda will be made clear by facts and experience and a level of sanity return.

But I am not holding my breath, it always amazes me what people can be persuaded to believe

Yep, I would. I love mine, a few small issues to solve but it’s pioneering tech and to be expected. I drove the Macan EV yesterday whilst mine was having one of its recalls checked and new shoes put on. The Macan was lovely, I’d driven the ICE version in a 4S and this was was great. So I think Porsche are on the right track here, once residuals calm down I think they’ll be a real go to. I’d get the Turbo S next time, but we all need more power, right??

It is astonishing isn't it!

I now check out the history of any web site I look at to see how likely it is the be sending me propaganda or at least the owners bias.
If I don't like what I see I don't visit the site.
This includes newspapers which are often spreaders of misinformation too, sadly.

I used to subscribe to https://www.newsguardtech.com/ to assist with similar – but after a while realised I tended to visit the same sites repeatably so didn't use it as much as I thought I would.

I would, I just had all applicable recalls done yesterday, only waiting on the brake hoses at this point. I had the charger cable replaced as well and car re-programmed to be able to read data from the embedded temperature sensor in the new cable.

Meanwhile, I get people love to tell me EVs are rubbish - then they usually say hydrogen is the way forward.
I then ask them to explain it. ?

Meanwhile I see more and more EVs on the road, and more and more public chargers.
And the nay sayers remind me of King Canute - sat on his throne - waiting for the tide to stop coming in, while it slowly envelops him.

Indeed Harry and Clarkson are real dyed in the wool car enthusiasts but technically illiterate which leads to weirdness IMO.
