I agree black gloss badges look well on Neptune. I'm on my second and have always left the badges on.

As the Turbo S comes with a glass black "electric" badge on the doors (as opposed to the usual silver) – I left that on too, this time.

It's all a personal preference. I personally like clean look of cars, so I typically de-badge all my cars. Other like standard badges, others like to make them fancy, and yet others badge their cars with different trim (up or down) or a non-existing made up trim, or in some cases rebadge the car to a completely different manufacturer. All kinds of people in this world, each with their own preferences.

I debadged mine. My neighbor has a crayon CT 4S and he just put a gloss black Taycan on the back. That also looks good. Still looks clean.

I'm in the de-badge 'remain' camp (apologies for the UK pun). I de-badge when it's an option, not because I want to mislead on my model designation, but because I like the clean look. It also makes PPF application easier.
My one re-badging experience occurred after my old Cayenne got rear-ended. The tailgate Porsche insignia was replaced, but the (Porsche approved) body shop could not get the lettering perfectly straight. You'd think they'd have jigs and tricks for getting it perfect but they just could not get it right after two attempts. That annoyed me every time I saw it. I'd suggest you make peace with the de-badge, you might regret the re-badge if it's not perfect.

I always order badged - They are so simple to take off if you want a clean look - and you have them at no extra cost to refit for resale...

just my 2p

I used to do that, then ended up with collection or badges I didn’t know what to with (not worth my time to ebay them). I once offered the badge with the tradein, the dealer said “no thanks, getting it back on perfectly is a pain and adds yet another thing their buyer can complain about, and including separate in the car just draws attention to the fact that the badge is missing”. They said they prefer to discount the car by $50 if the buyer complains about a missing badge, so the buyer can buy and put on their own badge.

Exactly what I planned to do with my Turbo- I think that gloss black lettering compliments the Frozen Blue, but I didn't want to draw attention to the variant. Having ordered it badgeless, I waited so long for my Porsche Centre to get the simple "Taycan" badge that I got used to the look and was put off custom badging by stories of it leaving a ghost outline should I or anyone else decide to rebadge it correctly in future (wouldn't have been an issue if the rear of my car was the only section I hadn't bothered PPF'ing).

My first CT4 had the badge on the back. I hated it. Every damn time I washed the car, my wash mitt would snag the badge and I'd have to dig out the fibers left behind. I ordered my current CT4 de-badged and I couldn't be happier.

I like badging if the letters are short.

Yes for Model then:
S
4S
GTS
GT3

No for Model then:
Turbo
Turbo S

The 2nd word on the back of a car makes for a busy look.

Slightly orthogonal to this topic (?) but how do people re-badge? Dual-sided tape is not an option, as cutting it to the contour of the characters would take forever. So - any other options besides superglue?

Reason for asking (for the curious): my 996 is getting an engine rebuild, and going up to 3.8. It’d be not only perfectly transparent but also fun to confuse casual onlookers with a 3.8 suffix to the Carrera existing badge.
