My first was only an Evoque but I had issues that every time we had freezing nights none of the doors would unlock and I had to climb in through the boot. It went back 5 times for that but they couldn't figure it out (even though they saw it happening so acknowledged the issue). I also had software issues and speakers needing replacing. My second was a Disco and that had similar issues with muffle speakers and a gearbox issue. I wouldn't touch JLR now which is ironic given the constant recalls and faults with the Taycan - because I'd still buy Porsche for some reason.Mmm. I thought that might be the case!
Which year and model was it and what were the major problems?
I have decided against a plug in hybrid in favour of the more ’simple‘ diesel.
Complex cars will have problems. The ability of the manufacturer/importer/dealer to fix them is big factor. My local LR Service Centre is only 10 minutes away, mostly downhill. That’s one plus!
