I’ve had my 23 GTS for 20 months now and i absolutely love it BUT I never in a million years thought I’d miss ventilated cooled seats, I regret not checking that box. Anyone have any option regrets? Something they wish they didn’t spend $ on or vice versa ?
Adaptive Cruise Control. It is what every cruise control should be!

My original sales chap asked me this while I was in the dealer last week. There's nothing I regularly wish I had but if I was speccing again I wouldn't bother with the sport sound and would probably upgrade the seats and add ACC

My two concerns when I ordered mine were that matrix headlights were unavailable. The standard lights are an option on a 911 and fine now I don't have long journeys at night like I used to, and standard audio only.
As a music lover with an audio system costing far more than the Taycan at home I was a bit concerned but for listening in the car it is fine actually, low colouration and even frequency response. Fewer adjustments but I have never actually heard any car audio that is actually accurate so fine for me.

Fitted to mine and ...

Love it / consider essential:
  • RWS
  • Adaptive cruise (should be standard)
  • Glass roof
  • Full leather
  • Sport Chrono (for the mode selector on steering wheel)
  • Dipping and folding mirrors (should be standard)
  • Bose
  • Matrix lights
  • Acoustic glass
  • Surround view (should be standard)
  • Heated front seats (should be standard)
  • Heated wheel (should be standard)
  • Air cooled seats
  • 4+1 seats
  • Silver window trim (great with dark paint)
  • Memory seats (should be standard)

Came with the car and a bit pointless and wouldn’t have chosen / paid for:
  • Rear heated seats
  • HUD (not possible to make it low enough whilst still being legible, need non polarized glasses)
  • The Porsche home charging cable
  • Ambient lighting
  • Porsche clock
  • Accent package
  • Electric charging cover
  • Comfort access (gets itself confused more often than it works)

Wish it had:
  • Roof rails (for a bike rack and roof rack)
  • Blind spot monitoring (should be standard)
  • Boot partition net (for the dog)
  • Rear side airbags (saw a nasty crash 3 weeks ago, more bags the better)

love the list - politely disagree on the powered charge port door - loved it when they added it to my 2014 Tesla Model S P85D (previously was manual close) - miss it on my Cayenne eHybrid - and haven't looked back - to me the key feature is not that it opens - it's that it closes when I unplug and walk away

but I understand different strokes for different folks…spot on for the rest of list!

Didn't know about the Toll Tags, thanks.
I have the acoustic and thermal glass on my CT 4S and had it on my '20 Cayenne, zero issues in either with my TX Tag being read. There are certain areas to place the transponder, outlined in the manual and if you place it in those areas, zero issues. It also makes a huge difference in thermal/UV intrusion, none of the loaners ever have it, and it is immediately noticeable.

A serious audiophile … what kind of audio system do you have at home?

The home charging cable has been one of my most useful things about the car. It's handy to have a basic charger bundled with the vehicle and I used it for the first 6 months of having the car until I have a charge installed at home - wish I hadn't and had stuck with the Porsche one now because the one I had is useless. Also handy for when out and about at other properties that don't have a charger.

Agree with the blind spot monitoring, I really miss this.

Rear side airbags are an option, I specced as my daughter is often in the back. My dealer said nobody ever notices the option and barely anyone ever selects it.

Question @ct4s: do you have the roof anchor points in the Cross Turismo for the partition net? - are they standard? I had them in my old Panamera but my current Taycan Sport Turismo doesn't have them. BTW there's someone selling a Taycan partition net on UK eBay if you need one.

Blind spot monitoring is an option as well under the name of Lane change assist.

Thanks - no anchor point unfortunately.
Had this on a 3 series estate a while back and it was a great addition.

It was entirely Goldmund, now I have replaced the DAC, Preamp and mono amps with a Devialet Original d'Atelier.
